Basically web-safe colors are a palette of colors made for web-implementation. These are the safe colors that are reliable and will show correctly on websites. In Photoshop, there is a save option called ‘save for web’. This is used to optimize your colors to make sure you have a web-safe pallete.

This is a table of the old 216 web-safe color palette. The 22 underlined colors are the really safe colors that are most reliable and always show up without any inconsistencies one web pages.
The table is taken from Wikipedia.
2. Is it still relevant in today’s context? Why?
Nope. Old browsers like legacy browsers have since gone obsolete. Thus, there is no more obligation to stick with this small palette. Browsers today have a much bigger range of colors supported. As of 2005, all modern browsers support the x11 table of colors. It is the new standard of web colors.
3. What are the common font face found on PC & Mac?
Helvetica, Arial, Sans-Serif, Georgia, Impact, Tahoma, Verdana etc.
4. What is page loading time and how does it influence your design?
It’s one of the most important factors in web design.
Depending on how fast your page loads, the user will have a different impression of the website. With a slow connection, the pictures on a website may not load as fast. If the first things you see are broken pictures when you open up a site, it’s unlikely the user would want to frequent the site.
Thus, it is important to optimize our image files to the smallest file size possible. This can be done by saving in the most space-efficient format, or making sure not to use too many colors.
5. Read this & write about what you think:
The different processes shown reflect similar methods in their creators’ own perspectives. Some steps are missing when in comparison, such as analysis or post-launch as Jeremiah mentioned. However, they are all roughly along the same line. Each one differs as the creator of each process works with what is most comfortable for him/her.
That doesn’t mean that the processes are all on par with each other. I prefer the last three methods stated in his blog. When i read them, i can really tell they know what they’re talking about. Very clear-cut instructions on what to do and when to do what. Not just static words in bullet point.
As compared to the other processes, these last three seems more recent. It’s more creative and much more demanding. It is also very unconventional, talking about how it is important to grab users’ attention. Especially the third one from the bottom, ‘Breakdown of the ideal web design process‘ doesn’t just state what generally needs to be done, but tells you all the crucial factors. Instead of telling you in a bullet, to ‘Design, Develop, Implement’, it tells you how to make it personalised; how will it attract users; know what you need to do. All the most important things you need to know.
1. Name as many browsers as you can.
Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Google Chrome
2. What is browser wars?
I reckon it’s the war between web browsers such as the above to get the most number of users. In a nutshell, it is about being the most popular web browser in the world.
3. What is IP adress?
IP address is a certain unique identity that only belongs to one computer. It is used to determine the user’s continental and country location.
4. What is URL?
URL is the address of a certain page or document that can be found on the net. It is not exclusive to only webpages, but also hidden directories only accessible to administrators.
5. What is a good website?
A good website is clear, and attention-catching. The layout has to be well planned such that visitors don’t get ‘lost’ in the website. For every section that a visitor goes to, there must be an obvious button or link to the other sections as well. Also, the design and structure of the website has to be fresh and creative.
